Crashed that old cliché

Destiny, or timing?

Never fell for the soulmate line
Always destined to be, written in time
The One, like a genie appearing for me
My destiny? Nope don’t buy it

Orchestras crescendoing, all-in
Thunderbolts and white lightning
Star dust glitter, rosy glow filter
Casting a love light - can’t buy it

Accidental, synchronicity
Plausible fluke, dexterity
Luck of the lucky - it’s pure, pure timing

But you blew me away
Flipped the rainbow curve
My way, made me believe
When you crashed that old cliché
Stole my breath, blew my doubts away

On a wet Monday morning in Cardiff
Guitars were playing a slow riff
As I walked towards you in synchro
Down the main street in slo-mo

Accidental, synchronicity
Plausible fluke, dexterity
Luck of the lucky - it’s pure, pure timing

Of all the main streets in all the towns
It was this one, that morning, tracked me down
By chance, blue eyes sun-squinting
And life illuminated, counting me in

Accidental, synchronicity
Plausible fluke, dexterity
Luck of the lucky - it’s pure, pure timing

On a sweet Monday morning in Cardiff
Perfectly perfect, pure timing
